Being home.

I grew up in the prettiest little town, I never fully appreciated it until I moved away. Although, it still has it's faults. There aren't a lot of shopping options and people can still be too narrow minded, I love taking my kids back and showing them around. Plus, we get to hang out with my family that is still there and that's always a good time. (:My babies got a lot of play time with their cousins, and I had time to play with mine. (;

That's actually my Tia, although she stopped aging years ago.
We had so much fun at my moms house! And of course, feeding the ducks. Something A never let's us forget is on our to-do list. (:

Purple velvet whoopie pies

By now I'm sure you've all seen those adorable red velvet whoopie pies floating around Pinterest.

Ours are not nearly that cute.
A) We were racing against bed time so I didn't want to trace 18 hearts onto wax paper..
B) I found the red food coloring AFTER giving up and making the batter blue..
C) I am forever out of powdered sugar. Seriously.

But, the kids enjoyed them and I replaced half of the butter with coconut oil so they turned out pretty delicious!
